Tranmere story

Eric Nixon is an English former goalkeeper, born in Manchester. He began in non-league football with Curzon Ashton before joining Manchester City, and had loan spells with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Bradford City, Southampton, Carlisle United and Tranmere Rovers. He later joined Tranmere permanently and was part of the side that won the 1990 Football League Trophy and rose through the divisions. His later clubs included Stockport County, Wigan Athletic and Sheffield Wednesday, and he subsequently worked as a goalkeeping coach.
